A portrait of the artist as a young girl.

This is one of my favorite photos of Wooster, during the snow/ice storm in December 2004.

And Troutman Vineyards, the site of many memories

Of course Wooster should be included in my series of favorite places.

These photographs were not taken by me, but by a professional photographer who was working on a series of nudes using a new camera he had recently purchased. He was generous enough to give me many copies from the four session shoot.

New Series - Aged Postcards

All of these photos are from my favorite places. I've done some aging processes to the photos for effect. Enjoy!

Normandy Beach, France

I visited Normandy Beach for the first time in 1999 while traveling through Europe to complete my thesis on the integration of Eastern European countries into the EU, as well as a general trip to visit all of the lovely European countries that I had always wished to visit.
This photo actually portrays the exact feeling when you walk around the American memorial site, with lines and lines of crosses for those who fought and died on that Beach. The view from one of the bunkers looking over the ocean is breath-taking and I happened to be there on a day when the sun was shinning just slightly through the clouds, not enough to call it a sunny day, but just enough to get the feeling that there was a heaven above.

Oxford, OH

This photo was taken when I started my freshman year at Miami University, back in 1996. The entire campus is surrounded by trees and is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen in the autumn when all the leaves turn.

Lake Chitauqua, New York

My family used to have a lake house up at Lake Chitauqua, just 30 minutes south of Buffalo. It was my peaceful get away place, where many life decisions were made. Sadly, my parents sold the house a few years back mainly due to the fact that all of the children were older, most had moved away from Wooster (it's a 3 hour drive to the lake) and no one was using the place enough. That, and the fact that we would have to drive up there a few times in the winter to shovel snow off of the roof to keep it from collapsing.

The Babbling Brook, Gatlinburg, Tenn

Gatlinburg was our family's winter vacation location. I got my very first camera the first year we went down there, when I was 16. I was just learning how to use a camera and luckily for me, there was plenty of beautiful landscape to practice.
